1998-01-05:
This was my first Heep concert ever. One of my sisters lives in Bonn
and
she asked me to visit her to go to that gig. At that time, I had no
idea
about something like Heepster on the web. Because I had the crazy idea
of making a complete discography with short biographies of the
members,
I tried to get an interview. From the local promoter I got the phone
number of Heinz Preisch (Clever & Smart, today Global
Entertainment
Germany). And he managed that!!
It was a very rainy and not that warm day, so the audience was
completely wet. When I eventually came backstage, Bernie gave me a
"small " brandy (0,2 l) to get warm. :-)) Though Heinz told
me, that I
could only do an interview with Bernie, I spend long time with Mick
and
Trevor too. It was more a normal conversation than an interview. We
talked a lot about music and about Sonic Origami (they had just
finished
the recording). I had no recorder with me and because I was very
concentrated on the conversation (my English was not that good then
...), I made no marks on my paper. So I had nothing recorded or
written
down, but I still have great memories about that night.
It was a free concert, so there are no normal tickets. Unfortunatly,
on
the backstagepass is not Heepīs name, so I added an announcement.
