Uriah Heep Live

Colmar  ( Fr) August 10 2002

Well, well, well...
It started bad (not Heep's fault)
It got better (thanks to Heep!)
And it ended far too soon (thanks to the organisation?)
Due to traffic and parking problems we were late. We finally made it to the entrance at 8.15. The show was supposed to start at 8.30 and there were several 100 people waiting! When they started, we were still outside! To make things worse: The security would not let me in with my little camera. So I had to step all the way back, deposit it and start queuing again! Happily this time it went faster. The crowd got angry and forced the security to hurry up! So at the end of Stealin’ I was inside and when they started Tales I ve’made my way up to the front row, although on the very left side of it.
Thanks to the best band in the world I almost suddenly forgot my anger and started to enjoy the show. It was a good concert, although I have to say that due to technical problems it did not meet with the usual high quality of the other Heep shows I’ve seen. Sometimes you could not hear Bernie’s voice. But the band loved to play (as usual), you could see and feel their enthusiasm and the audience loved them! The theatre was sold out, I cannot tell how many people were there, but they were certainly a lot!

So, unfortunately, not a whole show. After one hour and 15 minutes it was all over! As usual, it was worth having seen them, a little longer would have been better. Hope to see them soon again!
And this time: no pictures (thanks to the organisation!).
